Best Lotion For Winter Dry Itchy Skin

I love using the new Dove DermaSeries in my skincare routine to stay moisturized. The products textures are so silky and gentle! Perfect for day time and night time use. The body lotion is amazing for daily use! It’s clean, and doesn’t feel too thick. One thing I hate about using lotion in the morning is that sticky feeling I get throughout the day. This lotion doesn’t give me that feeling.

I also love the repairing balm. It’s similar to an ointment base but feels like lotion. This I love to use on my super dry areas. Such as elbows, knees, feet, and stretch marks. Especially at night. It can also be combined with the body lotion. Providing skin with extra moisture.

The face wash wasn’t particularly right for my combination skin. It gave my face a very nourished feeling. But I wouldn’t use it before wearing makeup. If I had dry facial skin, it may be perfect. Because my combination skin can easily turn oily throughout the day. I tend to avoid using any lotions, creams, or hydrating textures before makeup. However, if I’m staying in for the day. Without makeup. Than I will use moisturizing products.

Pink Tulle Midi Skirt and White Crop Top Outfit

I’ve been searching for the perfect crop top to wear with high waisted bottoms for quite some time now. Especially this skirt. I’ve looked high and low but couldn’t find a perfect basic that matched with everything. One day, while browsing the streets of San Francisco. I came across the cutest boutique. One of the stylists suggested this white crop top. It fit perfectly! The fabric is super stretchy so it hugs all of my curves. It has tank top straps and shows just enough skin. Obviously, I had to buy it in black as well. I’ve already worn them three times since purchasing. Because they match with literally all of my high waisted bottoms: Pants, skirts, jeans. Honestly, I was so relieved when I bought these crop tops.

For this outfit in particular. I decided to wear my silver statement necklace and keep everything else fairly simple. The floral tulle skirt really speaks for itself. I also paired it with flats. Because honestly, my feet were HURTING from walking around earlier in heels. 😉 The pink metallic sunglasses also matched well with this outfit. As well as the gold ring.

7 Ways To Make a Small Room Appear Larger

If you have a small space and are concerned with the size of it, don’t fret! There are so many interior design techniques that can help your room or house appear larger than it actually is. Here are some of my favorites:

  1. Add a trim to the ceiling, doors, and outlines of the room. This adds structure to the space, creating a larger atmosphere. I prefer white trim on a lighter base color. Or adding a pop of color to a light base, etc. Something that will contrast the different shades. Trim at the top of the ceiling draws the eye upwards.
  2. Keep it light. Using light and bright colors on your walls will open up the space. You know how white clothing makes people look bigger? And dark clothing (think – black) makes people look smaller? Well, it’s the same thing with interior design! Thank you color theory. Keeping things light and using colors like white, light beige, egg, bone, pastels, make the room look bigger.
  3. Use mirrors whenever possible. This create depth within a space. Giving more light and reflective surfaces creates almost a double vision. I especially love a mirror at the end of a long hallway, on the backside wall of a dining table, and above a fireplace. Placing the mirror at the end of the space, adjacent to it’s opening, is where the reflect will give the most help.
  4. Use multi-purpose shelving and drawers. Such as an ottoman with a spacious center, drawers in the coffee table, drawers in the bed frame, or a fold out desk.

Shop Interior Pieces

  1. Statement furniture. Choose one or two pieces, maybe a large couch and coffee table, to fill the room. This creates less clutter and keeps everything looking clean. As compared to one couch, two chairs, one ottoman, one coffee table…. you get the idea.
  2. Stripes! Stripes are an obvious choice. You can put them on the floor with a rug elongating the room. Or put delicate striping on the walls. The color choice, boldness, and contrast type is your decision. But stripes can immediately draw the eye upwards. With vertical stripes. Or widen a room with horizontal stripes.
  3. Furniture with exposed legs. This gives the room, and furniture more space. Creating an openness underneath it, makes the overall atmosphere fresher.

Pale Pink Velvet Pleated Midi Length Skirt OOTD

I love this pale pink velvet pleated midi skirt because of the fabric, the length, and the versatility. This skirt can be worn in the spring, summer, fall, or even winter! I decided to pair it with crop tops so I would have less to tuck in. This makes the high waisted element easier and less fussy. I paired it with a white front-tie crop top as well as a black checkered floral top. The skirt can be paired with lighter colors for a softer look as well as dark colors for something more bold.

The pale pink velvet shines in the light with a soft glimmer. Adding an extra sparkle to the velvet texture. The pleats are incredibly flattering and create more length, elongating the shape. The midi length cut is also extremely flattering and easy to pull off. I love this length because it’s cute and classic. But doesn’t show too much skin. I’m not the type to wear super short skirts or dresses.

This skirt can be dressed up with a pair of heels, boots, cute flats, and a nice bag. It can also be dressed down with flat white sneakers, or even sandals. There are so many different ways to wear this skirt.
