Met Gala 2016 ::: Manus x Machina ::: Fashion in an Age of Technology

The Met Gala of 2016 on May 2nd was focused on comparing haute couture with man made fashions. Many of the nights gowns were industrial looking, making use of the night’s theme. One of my favorites was a pink silk Burberry gown featuring a long train embellished with red flowers, worn by Blake Lively. The Haim sisters killed it all in Rodarte, with matching black and white textures and patterns. Zoe Saldana made a statement in a peacock inspired Dolce & Gabbana gown. Miranda Kerr stunned in a two-piece Louis Vuitton look with a contrasting ruffle.

Who was your favorite of the night?

Blake Lively in Burberry
The Haim Sisters in Rodarte
Zoe Saldana in Dolce & Gabbana
Miranda Kerr in Louis Vuitton
